May 9, 2024: NC Civil Rights Trail and Marker Program
As part of the Visit NC Partner Webinar series, taking place the 2nd Thursday of each Month, Visit NC welcomes DNCR's African American Heritage Commission to talk about their Civil Rights Marker program and available grants. NCAAHC are working with communities across the state to physically mark sites critical to the Civil Rights Movement in North Carolina. Between 2021 and 2024, the commission will place 50 markers in counties across the state, highlighting and acknowledging tireless civil rights efforts that are well known and, in some cases, unsung.

April 11, 2024: Accessible Outdoors Program
Visit NC’s monthly webinar for April discussed promoting outdoors for all abilities and addressed the challenges and opportunities related to accessibility in the outdoors. The webinar helped serve as an introduction to the Outdoor NC Accessible Outdoors Program. It also offered a sneak peak of the recent statewide trail assessment tool and provided participants the chance to hear about additional program tools that will be rolling out soon.
