Visit NC Tourism Conference starts this Sunday
Visit North Carolina and Greenville-Pitt County CVB look forward to seeing everyone in Greenville this Sunday, as the 2024 Visit NC Tourism Conference kicks off.
Come early as registration opens at 10 a.m. and the Solution Hub starts at 1 p.m. That’s followed by the Visit NC Co-Op Marketing Presentation, to showcase options, answer questions, explain programs and help you get the most out of Visit NC. On Sunday evening, enjoy the Pitt Street Block Party with the Greenville-Pitt County CVB for the welcome reception at the Dickinson Avenue District of downtown Greenville. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in NC’s Emerald City with an indoor/outdoor party – and don't forget to wear your green! There’s still time to register in advance; onsite registration will also be available.
Don't forget to download the Visit NC Tourism Conference Cvent Event app for the conference (search “Greenville” for Location), especially as print copies of the conference schedule will not be available. You can still view the Agenda
online here.
On Monday morning, make sure you’re seated at the start of the Welcome Remarks for a very special surprise you won't want to miss. Then there’s the keynote "Artificial Intelligence for Destination Marketing and Tourism" followed by concurrent sessions.
Tuesday offers a Visit NC Update with concurrent sessions afterward. And don’t forget to stay for the closing luncheon. Hosted by Hickory Metro CVB, it promises to be memorable!
This morning, Visit NC’s monthly webinar features the America 250 NC Local Grants program
, which is now taking applications. Join guests with the N.C. Department of Natural & Cultural Resources to learn about two grants – one of $10,000 for counties, once they've established a commemorative committee, and one of $30,000 for non-profits – to fund local activities related to the upcoming America 250 commemoration. The deadline for applications is May 3 this fiscal year. DNCR is spear-heading the statewide effort to plan for the commemoration. Its goal is to energize broad, robust and comprehensive programs across all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. The March webinar will be at 10 a.m. today. Click
here to register.
N.C. popular at Travel + Adventure Show in Atlanta
This past weekend, Visit NC attended the Travel + Adventure Show in Atlanta, Ga., partnering with Boone Watauga County TDA, Cleveland County TDA, Johnston County VB, Onslow County Tourism, Randolph County TDA and Yadkin TDA, plus N.C. Department of Natural & Cultural Resources. The booth had solid traffic throughout the consumer travel show, which saw an attendance of more than 12,000. Currituck County T&T and Franklin/Nantahala TDC also exhibited at the show.
These consumer travel shows offer additional opportunities for Visit NC – and its interested partners – to promote travel to North Carolina to potential visitors who are actively looking for travel suggestions and information. Partners interested in participating in any of the 2025 shows should contact André Nabors at (919) 447-7771.
